Lame

A native macOS app for browsing and deleting photos and videos from USB-connected phones.

• iPhones — accessed via Apple’s ImageCaptureCore framework (no iTunes or iCloud required)
• Android phones — accessed via libmtp, with an ADB fallback for Samsung Galaxy devices where MTP fails to list /sdcard

Why Lame?

Every existing solution either requires a cloud sync (iCloud/Google Photos), a heavyweight iTunes install, or only works for one phone type. Lame connects over USB and gives you a fast thumbnail grid of every photo and video, then deletes what you select. That’s it.

Requirements

• macOS 13 (Ventura) or later
• Xcode 15 or later
• For Android support: libmtp (via Homebrew) and optionally adb

Building

open Lame.xcodeproj

Set your signing team in Xcode → Lame target → Signing & Capabilities, then press ⌘R.
